May We Be World Builders, Together.

Remelya Jackalope

What if we dreamt of the world we wanted to build together?

Our network grows every day because people take one step towards each other in the world we want to build together. Sometimes it feels like I have the unique perspective of hope and joy in what seems like chaos. This is the portal I wish to support people moving towards. There is a strong and growing network of world builders who relentlessly show up every day and brick by brick widen the path for others to find. As we lean deeper into the work it's profound to find more depth and capacity by leaning deeper into the care and joy. Amongst all of the billowing ash and hailstorm of despair that rains down on us there's a pantheon of poignant pragmatist learners quietly tending our gardens of hope through the trees waiting for others to make it through the haze to come and join us. As challenges arise like the high tides on a stormy day we gather in the hills of the mountains plotting our next steps on the path of freedom.

In those moments are where the stories matter most. Trans people have been always been here and always will be. There are people in our past who have celebrated the power of trans people and there are people in our past who have feared us. We are building trans power and there are people in this world who fear us and seek to destroy something that cannot be destroyed. At TCN we want to build worlds and networks and communities of care with people. We are a group of people who care deeply for one another. Every day more and more people who are looking to dance in the fields of harmony with us on our work breaks join us.

“History isn’t something you look back at and say it was inevitable. It happens because people make decisions that are sometimes very impulsive and of the moment, but those moments are cumulative realities.” ~ Marsha P. Johnson

We've been through this before and we will get through it again. I don't just want to get through I want to thrive. I hunger for thriving and celebration. I ache for people who are so interested in reclaiming sovereign ground that it's inevitable.
